Drive or walk to 15th and Cherry
6:30 pm: Potluck dinner with remarks by George Lakey, music by the Justice Seekers. Please bring a main dish or dessert to share. Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, 15th and Cherry
Saturday, June 15, Merchants of Death Tour
9 am: Meet at Day and Zimmerman, war contractor, 1500 Spring Garden St.
Drive or walk to Israel Bonds, 1511 Walnut St., Suite 301, to call on State of Pennsylvania to divest from Israel bonds.
Drive to Navy Yard
11:30 am: Sendoff event and action, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Merchants of Death Tour. We will pass by 10 weapons manufacturers, where walkers will deliver Cease and Desist Orders demanding that they stop making weapons of war and convert to civilian production.
1 pm: Walk from South and 20th to Springfield Friends Meeting, passing by the VA Hospital.
2 pm: Lunch at Clark Park.
7 pm: Dinner and a Movie, The Most Dangerous Man in America, documentary about antiwar whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, Springfield Friends Meeting, 1001 Old Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA
Sunday, June 16, Philadelphia to Trainer
- 8 am: Meet at Springfield Friends Meeting House, 1001 Sproul Ave., Springfield, PA
- Walk to Delaware County Courthouse, 201 W Front St, Media, PA, site of the 1961 break-in to FBI offices that exposed the infamous COINTELPRO, a program of government spying on and disruption of antiwar, antiracist, and other activist groups in the 1960s and 1970s.
- 11 am: Attend services and meet congregants at Swarthmore Friends Meeting House, 12 Whittier Pl, Swarthmore, PA
- 11:45 am: Potluck brunch at Swarthmore Friends Meeting House, 12 Whittier Pl, Swarthmore, PA
